Study topics
The New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM) is the largest professional organisation in the country. This Diploma is based on six selected papers on management from the NZ Diploma in Business. It covers the foundation functional skills required for good management. The NZIM Diploma in Management is a New Zealand Qualifications Authority approved qualification.
In the first semester you will study:

In your second Semester you will study:
- Leadership
- Applied Management
- and one other paper from those available
Cross-credit
You can apply for a cross-credit if you have completed a qualification at Level 5 that corresponds to a NZIM Diploma in Management paper, or you have passed papers of a general business nature. Cross credits are assessed on an individual basis. You will need to supply us with the prescription of the papers you would like us to consider for a cross credit.

If you go on to complete the NZ Diploma in Business, you will gain 2 diplomas with no extra time or cost.
Pathway to a University Degree
Further available academic pathways are the NZ Diploma in Business (Level 6), and then further advanced academic studies at University.
Work Entitlement
While studying this programme, you can work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year. You will also gain points towards immigration to New Zealand on completion of the qualification.
Upon graduation, you may be eligible for a 12 month Graduate Job Search Visa . When you obtain a job offer, you can apply for a work visa.
